Welcome to Zelph — A Little Story About Why We Built It

I've spent the better part of the past few years buried in the world of retail, suppliers, stock feeds, Shopify setups, spreadsheets, and more late-night troubleshooting than I'd care to admit. If you've worked in e-commerce or wholesale, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say product and inventory management should not be this hard.

That's really where Zelph began — not as some grand idea, but as a simple frustration. Too many retailers were juggling supplier spreadsheets. Too many suppliers were stuck emailing stock updates. Too many Shopify stores were displaying products that were already sold out. Everyone was spending more time fixing mistakes than building their business.

So instead of complaining about it any longer, we built something to fix it.

And today, I'm genuinely proud to introduce you to Zelph.

The Mess We All Know Too Well

If you're a retailer, you've probably lived this cycle:

A supplier sends you a new catalogue — usually in a format that looks like it was last updated in 2006.

You manually clean it, upload it to Shopify, cross your fingers.

A few days later, the supplier updates prices… again.

You repeat the same dance across your other channels — maybe Magento, maybe a marketplace, maybe multiple stores.

It's boring. It's repetitive. It's error-prone. And it's a terrible use of your time.

Suppliers don't have it easier, either. They're constantly asked to resend the stock list, fix yet another retailer's mismatched product title, or explain why the spreadsheet says 3 units but Shopify says 12. None of this is what you actually want to be doing.

I lived this myself, which is why it's been a long-standing goal to build something that actually solves the problem instead of plastering over it.

What Zelph Is (And Why It Exists)

Zelph is the platform I wish I'd had years ago.

It gives retailers and suppliers their own space — their own "tenant" — to manage products properly. But the real magic happens when those spaces connect.

If you're a retailer, you can subscribe to a supplier's catalogue — no spreadsheets, no emails, just click and go. The supplier keeps their data up to date, and Zelph keeps yours in sync automatically.

If you're a supplier, you can publish your products once, and every retailer plugged into you sees the updates without you doing a thing.

It's as close as we've come to creating a "single source of truth" for stock, product info and pricing — without forcing everyone into one giant shared database. Each business still has its own private environment, its own settings, its own controls. But the parts that should be shared, are shared.

And because Zelph connects directly to channels like Shopify and Magento, your storefronts get the same real-time updates. No more overselling. No more "last updated 5 days ago". No more wondering which system is lying.

Just a clean, simple flow of accurate information.

Built With Real People in Mind

One thing we were adamant about — Zelph shouldn't feel intimidating or "enterprise-y".

We've made the setup as friendly as possible: register, tell us about your business, and you're in. No engineers required. No integration teams. No three-week onboarding. You can get a functional tenant running in the time it takes to make a coffee.

We also put real effort into the interface. It's built with Filament, which means it's fast, clean, and actually pleasant to use. You don't need a manual. Things are where you expect them to be. People tell us it feels like the first inventory platform that wasn't designed solely by backend engineers (even though it sort of was).

We added proper role-based access so your team can work safely without stepping on each other's toes. And because each tenant has its own isolated database, your data stays yours — secure, private, and protected.

Everything we built was shaped by real conversations with retailers and suppliers who were tired of the old way. Zelph isn't theory — it's lived experience, stitched together into software.

Come Try It — Honestly, I Think You'll Love It

Launching Zelph has been a labour of love, and I'm genuinely excited for you to try it. Whether you're a retailer looking to clean up your workflow, or a supplier wanting to distribute your catalogue without constant admin, Zelph is built for you.

You can sign up, create a tenant, and start exploring straight away.

No pressure. No hard sell. Just a platform designed to make your day-to-day easier — because managing products shouldn't feel like wrestling with spreadsheets at midnight.

Thanks for reading, thanks for being here at launch, and I really hope Zelph becomes something that genuinely makes a difference for your business.

If you do give it a go, I'd love to hear what you think.
